Ronnie, 16 Jahre The 7 th of October was a terrible day. But I have to say, if I had to go through « it again, these would be the people I would choose to have next to me. Both the German and the Israelis. It’s like we became one family and we went through it together and made each other stronger. It makes you understand there is also good people and it gives you hope.« Tomer, 16 Jahre » The real highlight was the stimulating group discussion we had about the Holocaust. It was such a deep and emotional discussion – definitely the peak of the trip. Even now I still think about the discussion and what we talked about. I think that the fact we Israelis could discuss so openly about these topics with our German friends is what made this trip so special and worthy.« austausch bildet Noga, 16 Jahre » Our days were packed with both educative and fun activities. Walking around Germany with a bunch of Israelis and Germans in a city where not so many years ago such a thing was strictly forbidden was quite a surrealist experience. Walking out after a session in which we discussed our experiences after we visited the memorial of the murdered Jews of Europe and its museum, it felt that what we are doing right now really is building bridges between our countries and also between ourselves as friends.« 16
